Meeting Shane at Chemo

Oct 12, 2017:

I'm so blessed. I'm at chemo now. I expected to visit with Jesus all day. He had other plans. I've been a “mom” to a 34-year-old chemo patient sitting next to me today. His partner of two years, just broke up with him before he walked in for his first chemo day ever. Who does that?! He's been crying all day. Please pray for Shane. He's the sweetest guy. He found out he had cancer when he broke a rib in a tractor accident.

The X-ray showed the cancer and a heart problem. Thank you Jesus that Shane was open to accepting and listening to this stranger today. We’ll never be strangers again. Thank you for providing the conversation between us that he needed to hear.  We’re on the same schedule, so he’s stuck with me. God's timing... perfect!

Gotta say...

This is a negative group today! Some systems shut down and put things on hold a bit. We’re waiting on labs, drug doses, port accesses, etc. We’re all just trying to find something to do, to read, someone to talk to. We got chatting about our diets, food, sources, ingredients, GMOs, Monsanto, etc. You can see where I’m going with this… Yes, it was me who started the conversation with these folks. Who the heck am I? Now, they’re all on their phones looking up things I'm talking about, even the folks who are pretending not to listen. We’re talking about using products and foods that don't have chemicals or GMO products. I'm discussing water, detoxing and healthy, sugar-free lifestyles, immunity, and teas. I know, because they got online and then they're asking questions about what they're reading. I am bad for business!  These nurses are all so nice though. They always give us the utmost respect.
